Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing master data sets, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the company’s data governance initiatives. You will play a critical role in data cleansing, reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the organization’s data assets. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in data analysis, with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of data governance principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Analyze master data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure data integrity and accuracy to support business goals.
Data Cleansing: Perform data cleansing and enrichment activities, including deduplication, standardization, and validation of master data, to enhance data quality.
Data Governance: Assist in the implementation and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality, integrity, and compliance across the organization.
Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on data quality, data issues, and project status to stakeholders. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve data management processes.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data definitions, data lineage, and data quality metrics. Ensure that all documentation supports data management and governance initiatives.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data stewards, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements, provide analytical support, and ensure alignment across departments.
Technical Skills:
Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Qlik, or similar platforms.
Master Data Management: Familiarity with MDM solutions and platforms, ensuring efficient data management and governance practices.
Data Quality & Governance: Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and best practices to ensure data reliability and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related role.
Proven experience with data analysis, data cleansing, and data governance activities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
